My favorite songs of 2006

By request from the anonymous commenter on the albums list, here is a very rough list of my favorite songs of the year. I tried not to include more than one song by any one artist although I had to in some cases. I highly recommend all of these for download!

I picked up Flying Canyon, Liars and Vetiver and I can see why they're at the top of your list. I'll probably pick up some more when I get the cash. . .

"At night when the world grows quiet" is awesome.

you know why those songs are so important to me. or why they were important to me, at least. the verse at the end of the Flying Canyon tune is so beautiful, it is rapturous, it is what most of my 2006 felt like for me.
